Can weakness ever be a good thing? Find out today on Bold Steps with Pastor Mark Jobe! Now it’s no secret that this world can be tough … and in many cultures, we tend to idolize the type of people who can “make it on their own.” The idea of being self-made and independent is well-celebrated. But when we face the inevitable challenges and burdens of life … is the idea of self-reliance actually biblical? As a Christian, are you meant to simply “pull yourself up by your own bootstraps” … or is there more to the story? Join us as Mark continues a counter-cultural message about the power we’re meant to find in our moments of weakness.
Mark Jobe serves as president of Moody Bible Institute and host of Moody Radio's Bold Steps. He is the author of Unstuck: Out of Your Cave into Your Call (Moody Publishers).
