Focal PointToday, on Karl and Crew Mornings, we kicked off a special theme for this Thanksgiving Week called "High Praise". The amygdala is a portion of the brain that processes emotions. We discussed the power that God's truth and praise have on the brain. What you think about today will be walked out in your life tomorrow. Are you feeding your brain lies or God's truth? There is scientific proof that positive thoughts...specifically, high praise, improves the brain. Our scripture references were Psalm 95 and Philippians 4:8. You can hear the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.
Today, on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our special theme for this Thanksgiving Week called "High Praise". We discussed the power of the mind and having a positive attitude...hope. Karl shared a special quote from Warren Wiersbe (see below). Our special guest was Dr. Caroline Leaf (communication pathologist and cognitive neuroscientist). She discussed tools for taking our thoughts captive and choices that can help us manage our minds with God's Word. We also talked with Kelli Worrall. She is a Professor of Communications at MBI, an author, and Field Chair for the Music and Media Arts Division. Kelli shared details about this year's traditional Candlelight Carols, coming December 3rd and 4th. The event has been revamped to include a Christmas festival, market, living Nativity, and more. You can hear the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.
