Hour 1: Equality

Today, on Karl and Crew Mornings, we kicked off a new weekly theme, "Jesus Saved the World".  We discussed some of the many ways Jesus displayed equality in His life.  Jesus' teachings were so counter-cultural at the time like sitting and dining with sinners, talking and ministering to women, and His love and treatment of children.  We also discussed the history of education, giving, and community.  Dr. Mark Jobe, President of the Moody Bible Institute, joined us to share about Year End Giving (you can call 1-800-600-9624 or click www.karlandcrew.org).  Finally, today was day 8 of our 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway!  You can hear the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.

Hour 2: Family

Today, on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our weekly theme, "Jesus Saved the World", and we discussed how Jesus changed the meaning of family and the value of children.  In Jesus time, He radically changed the culture's view of marriage and even elevated it to loving the church.  He also called the children unto Him, and shockingly claimed that having the faith of a child is the greatest of all.  One of the greatest witnesses is the example of a faithful, biblical family.  We also talked with speaker, foster advocate, and author Tori Hope Petersen.  Her new book is called "Fostered: One Woman's Powerful Story of Finding Faith and Family Through Foster Care".  She shared her testimony of wanting a family as a foster child, and then becoming part of God's family.  Finally, today was day 9 of our 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway!  You can hear the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.
