Hour 1: Hour 2: Give Satan the Credit He Is Due

Author Bruce Becker discusses his book Give Satan the Credit He Is Due and his podcast "Bible Threads." 

Bruce joined the leadership team at Time of Grace in March 2009. His past ministry experience includes serving as the lead pastor of two Lutheran churches and as a denominational leader responsible for providing ministry resources, training, and support to churches. He is a respected church consultant, public speaker, advisor, and published author. He has a professional doctorate in leadership and ministry management from Trinity International University in Chicago. Bruce lives in Jackson, Wisconsin, with his wife, Linda. They have been married for more than 40 years and have four adult children. They enjoy spending time with family, bicycling, landscaping, and gardening.

Also this second hour, Shane Idleman will share insight from his article "Christian Nationalism: Do Both the Left and the Right Have it Wrong?"  Shane Idleman is the founder and lead pastor of Westside Christian Fellowship, in Lancaster, Ca. and now Leona Valley, Ca. He also began the Westside Christian Radio Network - WCFRadio.org - in 2019. His sermons, books, articles, and radio program have sparked change in the lives of many.

Ben reveals common ways we misinterpret the Bible and how we can recover a gospel-infused lens to recover God's original message. Ben is a pastor, author, equipper, and occasional professor. He is honored to serve everyday disciples, ministry leaders, and church planters across the world through The Equipping Group, and to help lead Salt+Light Community and Plant Fort Worth, TX. Ben has written or contributed to several books, workbooks, articles, and publications, has overseen church planting efforts for multiple organizations, and has also taught university and seminary classes. Dr. Jessica Peck joins the conversation to talk about helping parents and teens through life's toughest issues. She has written the book Behind Closed Doors. Dr. Peck wants to help parents to establish a connection with their teens in a complicated world. 

As a pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care, over the last 20 years has engaged, encouraged, equipped, and empowered families to raise holistically healthy kids. A native Texan, she is a clinical professor at the Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing. An internationally awarded nursing leader, she served as president of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Peck is an accomplished author of dozens of clinical articles for peer-reviewed journals, is a regular contributor to parenting magazines, and is a frequent guest on radio and television shows to promote the health of children. She also has a Dr. Nurse Mama Podcast. She has been happily married to a rocket scientist for nearly twenty-five years and is a mom of four teens.

In addition, Jason Thacker is in-studio to guide us with a biblical perspective in the area of technology. He has written the book Following Jesus in a Digital Age.

Jason serves as chair of research in technology ethics and director of the research institute at The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. He also serves as an adjunct instructor of philosophy, ethics, and worldview at Boyce College in Louisville, KY. He is the author of several books including Following Jesus in the Digital Age and The Age of AI: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity.

He is a graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. He also holds a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he is currently pursuing a PhD in ethics, public theology, and philosophy. He is married to Dorie and they have two sons. They live outside of Nashville, TN.

Also this third hour, J.D. Peabody joins us to talk about his book Perfectly Suited: The Armor of God for the Anxious Minds. J.D. has always loved a good story. He started his career in advertising and public relations, sharpening his writing skills by telling mini-stories on behalf of various clients. He then switched professions and became a pastor, focusing on a much bigger story. Now he writes for both children and adults. In addition to writing Perfectly Suited, he has written The Inkwell Chronicles: The Ink of Elspet which lands on shelves in the Fall of 2022.
