Serene is the Vice President of Advocacy at Passages, leading efforts to increase support for Israel among young generations of Christian leaders through education and advocacy initiatives. Serene was introduced to the miracle of Israel in college, holds a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies and is completing a Master of Arts in Jewish Studies at the Spertus Institute of Jewish Learning and Leadership. She is passionate about building alliances between diverse communities, promoting intercultural intelligence, and living a life of service. Serene and her family live in Dallas, Texas.

After spending 7 years on the Methodist Church staff in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mark and his wife Jan moved to Branson, Missouri, and lived at Kanakuk Kamp. During their time in Branson, Mark was the Area Director of Young Life, and started a residential counseling program for struggling teens, only to leave there in 1988 and move to Hallsville, Texas, when he started Heartlight Ministries. During their 32 years in Texas, Heartlight has become one of the country’s finest residential counseling centers for teens and known throughout North America as the “place to be” if your teen is struggling and hope is diminishing. He’s authored 18 books, has written hundreds of articles about parenting teens in a difficult culture, and is also the host of the nationally acclaimed radio program, Parenting Today’s Teens, which was honored to receive the 2014 Program of the Year award from the National Religious Broadcasters.

In addition, Joshua and Christi Straub talk with us about their new children's book What Do I Do with Anger? Dr. Joshua Straub and his wife, Christi, lead Famous at Home, a company equipping leaders and corporations in emotional intelligence and healthy family systems. Josh is also a Fellow of the Townsend Institute for Leadership and Counseling. Joshua and Christi host the Famous at Home podcast and have co-written children's several children's books.

He has worked in three major industries - Shell Pipe Line Corporation as an accountant, Services Corporation International as a manager, and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Sanofi-Synthelabo as a pharmaceutical and device representative. He has been a pastor for over twenty years, doing what he loves most - preaching God's Word. Dr. Teague enjoys travel, having been to all 50 states and 18 countries. He has also visited every grave and every accessible home of every United States President. He is blessed to raise cows and hay and on top of all this, he loves to write. He has written the following books: Preaching Your Way Out of a Mess, Living Your Way Out of the Mess, and The Lost Diary of Anne Frank. He is married to Lori Teague and they have two beautiful girls, Brittany and Kate.
