Out of the Fire
Friday night August 16th, 2002 Mike Kinney fell asleep driving his Ford Ranger. Smashing into a telephone pole, his truck caught fire pinning Mike to the driver’s seat. His best friend Matt, a total stranger, and Jesus sprang into action to rescue Mike. Mike’s a worship leader from Indiana who’s just released his riveting story Out of the Fire: How an Angel and a Stranger Intervened to Save a Life.
First, Mike’s last memory before the accident. (He wouldn’t have his next memory till 6 weeks later). Then, 100 people show up at the hospital that night to pray for Mike. Next, Jesus literally walks into the accident scene. Then, Mike had to see his smashed Ford Ranger. What he saw on the steering wheel knocked him back on his heels.
Next, if you’ve been shattered by life, Mike shares hope with you. Last, a note from a classmate 9 months after the crash that helped Mike realize God’s purpose for his life.
