Pastor Ford reminds us today that if Jesus conquered death, then what is our sickness to Him? He can handle our employer. He can handle our haters. If He can conquer death, then He can handle all of our difficulties and our insufficiencies. That’s because our insufficiency, becomes sufficiency, through Christ’s all-sufficiency. Jesus can handle all the issues that we have. We just need to trust Him!
As we begin a new study in Galatians, Pastor Ford will ask us how far will we go to help a brother or sister who has strayed from the truth of the Bible. What does it mean, really, to bring someone back to the truth, when they have forsaken and abandoned the way of grace and are going in the way of the law?
As we begin to look at the miracle of the loaves and the fishes, we’ll see how Jesus is going to teach His disciples how to minister by providing them an example of what they should do. Every time Jesus gave a message, He always gave the model. In other words, Pastor Ford says, Jesus would talk it, then He would always walk it.
Pastor James Ford Jr. has been the senior pastor of Christ Bible Church of Chicago, located on the south side of Chicago, Ill., for over 35 years. He also serves as the president of Impact Ministries, an outreach ministry committed to strengthening families in the South Shore community of Chicago.
